The company's head office is in the village of Bergschenhoek, at the centre of a horticultural area. Product development takes place at three breeding stations across Europe. New varieties are only approved after extensive testing and then distributed via a worldwide network of distribution channels to find their way to customers quickly and efficiently.
The various De Ruiter Seed departments and operations work closely together to develop, test, produce and distribute the broadest possible range of varieties and seeds. The Dutch head office consists of a research laboratory and a central storage centre. Products are developed in the breeding stations in the Netherlands, Spain and France for many different climates and growing conditions. New varieties undergo extensive testing in areas, where they will eventually be sold, before they are introduced on to the market.
De Ruiter Seeds keeps in direct contact with clients via a worldwide distribution network of its own sales companies and with exclusive distributors elsewhere. Area managers operate in all markets; they supervise the sales and provide support to growers with professional advice on varieties and cultivation.
